Due to the anticipated dangerous weather conditions and temperatures, Epiphany will be closed on Wednesday, January 30th and Thursday, January 31st. Please be safe and stay warm!!
As part of celebrating Catholic Schools Week, we had a special guest reader come read to us at school today! Ms. Julie Ramski is the Director of Early Childhood Education for the Office of Catholic Schools, and we were lucky enough to have her as a guest reader today! She read us the books “The Day the Crayons Quit” and “Little Blue and Little Yellow” and she sang some silly songs with us. What a wonderful morning!
We had a wonderful morning having breakfast with our families! Thank you so much to everyone who made it and to all of the yummy treats you donated for the breakfast. You are what makes Epiphany special and I appreciate all that you do!
With all the snow we have been getting here, we thought it’d be a great idea to put some of that snow in our sensory table!
Catholic Schools Week Day 1: Pajama Day! We had so much fun wearing our jammies to school. We also got cozy and watched a little show and ate a popcorn snack in our pajamas! What a fun day.

https://www.facebook.com/epiphanyschoolchicago/photos/a.512599975491536/2090131404405044/?type=3 Today was the 100th day of school!! To celebrate, we did 100th Day centers with Ms. Sarah’s preschool class! We built towers with 100 cups, we made 100th Day crowns and certificates, and then we made 10 groups of 10 manipulative to make 100! We had so much fun. These preschoolers are 100 days smarter!!
Today at school, we learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and his impact on our country and why we have a day off of school to honor him! We watched the “Kid President” video about Martin Luther King Jr. and then we did an “egg-speriment.” We had a brown egg and a white egg. When we cracked the eggs, they were both the same on the inside! We talked about how MLK Jr. said even though people may look different on the outside, they are the same on the inside. We also colored some coloring pages. What a fun day!
As part of our new unit on “The World of Color,” in small groups this week we have been going on color scavenger hunts! Students would look around the claasroom for various objects in certain colors. We then grouped the objects by their color. We had so much fun!
