We have been discussing how things sink and float at school! Then, as a small-group experiment, we tested out whether certain objects would sink or float. We documented our observations in our own sink/float journals. These scientists rock!
After reading the book “The Snowy Day,” we made our own snow paintings! We mixed shaving cream, glue, and glitter together to create our own “snow.” They turned out awesome and we had so much fun!
We had so much fun at our class Christmas party on Friday! We ate yummy snacks, made snow globe ornaments, and danced to Christmas music. Have a great Christmas break, and see everyone in the New Year!!
What a fun day we had on our field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry! We got to see Finland’s Christmas tree, baby chicks, the Idea Factory, and many other exhibits. Best day ever!!
Today at school, we decorated Christmas trees using paint, Pom Poms, and clothespins! They turned out beautiful, and it was great fine-motor practice.
As part of our Wind and Water unit, we have been experimenting in small groups if wind will move certain objects or not! Using a fan, we chose different objects to place in front of it to see if it would move or not when the fan faced it. I love these little scientists!
This week, we began our new unit on “Wind and Water!” Today at school, we used the “wind” from our mouths to blow paint with straws!
Today at school we talked about how every snowflake is different! We then made our own snowflakes, each unique and different just like real ones. I love these Preschoolers’ creativity!
