Today at school, we painted our own snowflakes using glitter paint! They turned out beautiful, each different and unique like real snowflakes. Come check them out on our hallway bulletin board!

These preschoolers did an AMAZING job at their Thanksgiving concert yesterday! They worked so hard in their songs. I am so thankful for these little turkeys! Happy Thanksgiving!
Last week at school, we read the book "Hooray! A Piñata!" After reading the story, we worked together to make our own class piñata using a balloon, newspaper, and paper mache. Today at school, we took our piñata outside and took turns hitting it until it fell on the ground! What a fun day.
This week, we turned our dramatic play area into a grocery store! Using many different food containers and boxes (thanks to all who donated), the students are able to pretend grocery shop. We even use shopping lists to write down what we need, and money to "buy" the food to bring home in a shopping bag. So much fun!
Today, we took our first class field trip to the Garfield Park Conservatory! We had a blast riding on the school bus (some of us for the first time!), seeing many different plants and habitats, and even getting to touch and feel many of the plants. We also had a great time playing on the slide. What an awesome day!!
Today, we were lucky to have some awesome visitors from the Big Shoulders Fund! Our visitors read us the book "The Koala who Could," and then helped us make our very own koalas. It was such a fun day! Thank you Big Shoulders!!
To celebrate Dia de Los Muertos, we started the day by taste testing Pan de los Muertos! Each student got to try it, and then vote on if they liked it or not. Yum! Then, we had a party with the other preschool class. We watched the "Elena of Avalor" day of the dead episode, colored skull pictures, and danced to mariachi music. What a fun celebration!
