Since our caterpillars officially became butterflies, we set them free in nature! We will miss them, but we are happy to release them into their new home!

We have been carefully observing our caterpillars over the past couple weeks, and this week our butterflies emerged from their chrysalis! We are so excited.
We had such fun time at the Chicago Children's Museum yesterday! We got to ride on a school bus, explore many different exhibits, and eat lunch outside at Navy Pier! What a wonderful day.
As part of our ABC Countdown, F was for "Fly-Up!" The Preschoolers going to Kindergarten next year got to "fly-up" to the next grade, and visit their Kindergarten classroom! Ms. Chavez did some fun dances and activities with the kids, as well as gave them a tour of their future classroom!
The Preschoolers that are returning to Preschool next year got to do a fun collage-art activity with Ms. Rosie! What a fun day. As part of our "Things that Grow" unit, we now have 5 class caterpillars! Every day in small groups, we will observe the caterpillars and write/draw our observations in our butterfly science journals. Then, when they eventually become butterflies, we will set them free in the church garden!
For the past few months, Epiphany's 2nd Grade students have been writing and creating their own poems. Yesterday, we got to hang out with our 2nd Grade buddies and have them read their poetry to us! It was so fun having these Preschoolers get to work and learn from some of the older students at Epiphany.
