This week is "Read Across America Week," and we are also celebrating Dr. Seuss Week! Today, we read the story, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss. Then, using rainbow goldfish crackers, we graphed how many of each color cracker we had! We got to see which colors we had the most of, and which we had the least of. The students then got to eat their goldfish, and color in the boxes of their graph. Yum!

This week, we started our new unit of study on "Shadows and Reflections." In small groups, we built block structures and used a flash light to create a shadow! We then traced the structure's shadow onto paper. We had so much fun!!
Today, we celebrated the Chinese New Year with Ms. Sarah’s Preschool Class! We practiced using chopsticks with M&M’s, colored Chinese New Year coloring pages, and put together our very own dragon! Then, much like they do in China, we paraded around the school with our dragon and drums. Happy Year of the Dog!
Yesterday we celebrated Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday! We taste tested blueberry and strawberry paczkis, and voted on which one we liked best. It was a tie!!
Then we wore wore Mardi Gras makes and parades in the hallway to New Orlando jazz music. What a fun day!! Today, we used food coloring and frosting to mix colors! Each of these preschoolers made their own colored frosting by mixing 2 primary colors, and then spread the frosting on a graham cracker for a tasty, colorful treat. Yum!
Today was 80's day at school! Everyone was rockin' their throwback gear. Along with 80's day, it was also Groundhog Day! We took a vote on whether or not we thought Punxsutawney Phil would see his shadow, and then we watched him coming out of his home on our SmartBoard! It was so much fun. We had an amazing Catholic Schools Week!!
We had so much fun in our sports gear today at school! We also decided to have our own Preschool sports relay races in the hallway. What a fun day!!
