As a way to learn how to relax and control our bodies, we have been learning and practicing yoga at school! So far we know the tree pose, mountain pose, and resting pose. Ask your preschooler to show you their yoga poses at home!
We have been soaking up the beautiful weather we’ve had lately by playing outside and going on walks around our neighborhood!
Last week, we read the book “Peter’s Chair” where a family was painting furniture. Today at school, we painted using primary colors! We mixed the colors to create new colors. I love these little artists!
Today at school, we finally got our class fish! We voted on names and ended with Coco, Baby Poncho, and Sonny! We also discussed how to take care of our fish. What an exciting day!
We’ve been reading the story “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” and talking about letters all week! To celebrate “Fun Friday” today, we made our own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree hats!
To celebrate Mexican Independence Day, we did a Jarritos taste test! Everybody got to try the red and orange flavors of Jarritos, and then vote for which one they liked best. It was a close race, but orange was the winner for our class!! Soon after our taste test, we went over to Ms. Sarah and Ms. Rosie’s class to watch a performance by Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles. We danced along and played musical instruments! What a fun celebration.
Today at school, we dot stamped our names! This will help us learn to write and recognize our names.
To practice recognizing and writing the first letter of our names, we used stickers to make our beginning initial! This was also some great fine-motor practice.
To practice name recognition and writing our names, we traced our names using water color paint! They turned out great.
