After hearing my Preschoolers talk so much about the new Grinch movie, I knew exactly what our Christmas bulletin board should be!! These preschoolers were just as excited as I was to make our very own Grinch board outside of our classroom. Take a peek at the tree the Grinch is stealing, it’s filled with some ornaments with familiar faces! :)

These little turkeys did an amazing job at their Thanksgiving Concert yesterday! They have been practicing so hard and I am so proud of them. Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving! I know I’m thankful for these little Preschoolers.
After building our own piñata all week, we finally got to crack it open! We had so much fun, and it made it even more special that it was our very own piñata that we made by ourselves!
This week at school, we read the book “Hooray! A Piñata!” This book tells the story of a girl who wanted a special piñata for her birthday party. Then, during small groups, we are making our very own class piñata! We used a balloon, newspaper, and paper mache.
When it it is finished, we will be filling it with candy and opening it ourselves! Hooray! We had a very special morning at school today! We were lucky enough to have Father Dan come over to teach us all about Our Lady of Guadalupe. He showed us a wonderful video, and then he showed us 2 different tilmas, similar to which Juan Diego wore.
Thank you Father Dan!! To celebrate Dia de Los Muertos, we colored some Day of the Dead coloring pages, taste tested the “Bread of the Dead,” and watched Coco! We also visited the Day of the Dead altar at our school. What a fun celebration.
Today at school, we used water bottles and various materials (beads, sequins, even candy corn!) to make musical instruments! We then practiced shaking them fast and slow to hear the different noise levels. What a fun Friday!
PS. Thanks to all the families who donated the water bottles to our class!! This week at school, we got our own class pumpkin! Before carving it open, we studied our pumpkin. We drew/wrote about our observations. Then, we carved it open and everyone got to touch and feel the pumpkin “guts” and seeds! We had so much fun!
Yesterday at school, we went on a walk in the neighborhood to collect different colored Fall leaves! After collecting the leaves, we then sorted them by color. Talk about Fall fun!
