Colorful Carnation Experiment

Continuing our unit on color, we decided to do a color experiment, involving flowers! Using 4 white carnations, we decided to add different color food coloring to the flowers' water. Before experimenting, as preschool scientists, we made a hypothesis on what we though would happen to the flowers. As a class, we decided that we thought the white flowers would change colors! Next, we tested our hypothesis. We added the food coloring to the flowers, and observed the flowers throughout the day with science equipment. So far we haven't seen much change in the flowers, but tune in tomorrow when we check on our flowers again!
